Web Content
How do you tell people who you are, what you do and why you’re different? Talk to them. This may seem to fly in the face of convention and years of ‘creative writing’ education. But the web is changing the way we do business. People are looking for something specific and buy when they find it. More “cottage” industries and specific niche markets have been born from the web than any other time in human history. So the best way to tell people why you are different is to simply let them know who you are. If you made it to this page on my site, it’s because you’re fine with a straight-forward conversation, we can talk. We can work together. Most people didn’t make it to this page. Some wanted the ‘Corporate’ speak, others, maybe a little more ‘Professional’, everybody is looking for something different and I am only selling to a small market that wants to work with a capable person who is comfortable enough in my skills that I don’t have to ‘Sell’ you. What you’re reading is me, plain and simple. And what people read on your site should be you and your business. Let people know what they are ‘buying’.
With that said there are a few tips and tricks that go into any web content. We still have to make the search engines happy and sometimes you only want a certain number of word on page. Stuff like that. Let’s talk and you may be surprised at what your web content isn’t saying, just like my client who realized her website didn’t even sell her product to her market!
