In the Beginning

I like to tell people that I was playing on the Internet before there was a Google and Yahoo.  And this is very true.  I started my technology career while serving in the United States Air Force as a computer programmer.  In the early 1990's, the Internet did exist, just not how we know it today.  Back then we created little programs that would go and “sniff” the Internet for possible sites.  After all internet sites were very unusual, but we knew there were other people out there playing and we had to find them.  It was a big game of hide and seek.

After the Air Force I took a job in sales and continued to develop on the web.  By this time Yahoo was born and people were starting to hear about the web.  I worked in the evenings with a couple friends developing websites for local businesses.   However, my “real” job was working in the financial industry helping small businesses with financial solutions.  This was largely centered around lending and cash management.  This is important piece of my background that can benefit your company.
